That new wave looks great...its to bad that Duke wasn't named as starduster. Hasbro could have just done a new head, a different color scheme and poof - STARDUSTER.

The originals all had unique explosions to each character. It is obvious they are rushing the artwork....but thats what happens when a new wave comes out every month! So, I guess we cant complain I do have to say though, that you're wrong about the explosions. I believe there were only two or so explosions back in the day. The one we see on the 25th are like the very first one, then around 86-88 it was changed to a "digital explosion" |

What I meant was that if you look at the early card art, each explosion was tailored specifically to each character around the characters legs, head, etc.....there are even differnt patters in the fire.... (Pre 86 specifically). With the 25th figures....they just used the same digital explosion pattern and then layered the image of the character on top of it. Btw, Im not nitpicking, Im just trying to emphasize that they obviously have an "explosion template" that they are using to make the artwork faster. They simply put the character on top of it....this would speed up the proccess of making artwork, instead of painting a new explosion for each one like they did back in the day. Thus they can get these things out faster to us. There is even variation in the digital pattern in the post 85 series....all tailored to the individual character. ^^^ Huh, I never noticed that before. I always thought they used the same explosion. Well then, never mind what I said about explosions

Well this sucks, i mean its good to get all these waves, but i guess i miss out on wave 1 for good,it didnt even show up here,Ok,TX,ARK,BORDER AREA,until wave 3,so i guess that hell with this line, didn't even get to hear about it until jan, 25th line that is, i would've like to have all of them but ill settle for fraction of them, and if found wave 1 you have jacka@@es pricing them up to 500% to 1,000% above there retail price point, didn't they used to only release 30 or so characters every two years, ah the good ole days, and the other waves stayed around for 1 to 2 years, now its 1 or 2 months, and now you happen to find one of the waves you missed its the same jack a@@ over and over again, well sorry to rant fellas but wave 7 looks nice,if it makes it hear ill buy it,but instead well get a million comic packs while only 9 different ones, and maybe 5 bubble packs of the same ppl out of current 31,ahh well theres my rant of the manufacturing process, sorry didn't mean to stray off topic.

Chromagnum Spirit is a disappointment, but the rest look great. Even Duke holds some (though not a lot) of appeal.
