Before you start berating me about how they are cool, listen as I do agree they are cool but they are problematic.
It seems the plastic they are using for the figures are of cheaper quality thus when they package them in their poses, it causes the plastic to warp and stay that way. I tried the hot water method but to no avail. So either don't prepose them bu just sticking in the plastic or discontinue the comic packs altogether. I hate looking at my figures that look like they have some sore of leg problems and knees knocking. |

Haven't had the slightest problem. Is there any proof of any kind of this "cheaper plastic" thing I keep hearing, or is just assumption?

The Crimson guard and Wild weasel are the 2 packs that have the problems. I bought 4 of each and all 4 have the same exact distortion on the same exact leg. |

Yes, some figures from the comic packs are warped, because they're locked into bent poses in confining plastic trays. I can't see any reason to believe they're made of "cheaper plastic." Anecdotal evidence ain't changing my mind.

The first SS/SE set had this problem too. I don't think it's cheaper plastic (than the singles) I think it's just the fact that they are using softer plastic and then sticking them in these "action pose" displays.
I would like to see the action pose feature go away. I'd also like to see some of the odd ball repaints (Shipwreck) go away, but for the most part all the figures look great. |

Has anyone thought about addressing this with Hasbro?

Yeah, I don't think it has anything to do with the plastic [which is actually more like a vinyl at that point] being cheaper. It's just the result of being forced into a "dynamic" pose required by the plastic insert and holding that pose [with elastic tie-downs] for extended periods of time. It doesn't help that whoever's packing them in China probably really doesn't care if the leg or arm is suppose to bend that way or not.
Some of my five pack figures were the same way. Stick them in a hot car, whenever whereever you are gets warm and let nature solve your problems. |

Anecdotal evidence ain't changing my mind. Being Hasbro, they could do the same with these as well. Plus as they are showing the same signs that the Star Wars packs are showing, it would be safe to assume the same. |
