do u guys collect a specific line or set?

hiya, well im pretty new to gi joe collecting, since i only started with the original 25th single card line. Right now i have 1 of each MOC waves 1-6. I didnt really want to get into other lines like comics packs, but wave 3 figs look cool.
im a poor college student and dont have money for all this stuff i want to collect (i also collect Transformers Classic line and Transformers Masterpiece), and wondering how do u guys limit yourselfs on what to get. If your like me thou, im a completist, as i want to have all of them to keep as a set. Not sure if i want to start on ANOTHER LINE of figures =[ gotta think about this...

Me too my friend. I also like to complete sets. I am just collecting the 25th line. It is the only thing i am really into and i am only buying 1 set of each figure to give to my son. However i do have a few troops because i never troop built when i was a kid. Now my son can do the things i couldn't do when i was younger...

im with viper48 on this one too.ive been out of the collecting game for some time.when the 25th line hit i felt like a kid again and instantly became a born again joe fan.they are also the only decent stuff imo on the shelf these days.im also collecting a few vintage figs from the '89 thru '91 era(just certain ones i liked and thought was cool).

I collected the DTC line, now since i have that complete i'm doing 25th anni, but not every recolor or store exclusive as they are too expensive, too ugly or just not worth my attention.

the 25th line has me more hardcore than I have been since the old days. I get what grabs me at this point, unfortunately that's a lot of stuff lately.

I collect the older figs from 1982-1994. But I might collect the 25th figs. havent decided yet.

I collect what myself and my son like.
That entails GIJoe....but not completists.
25th line so far...we are completists I guess...but past items we get what we like.
We also grab off brand items that we like and customize them to gijoe needs.

Cool, I like the G.I. Joes and the other 3 3/4" military action figures/vehicles. I also collect the 25th Joes when I can find them.

It's great to read about how many Joe fans were brought back to the line thanks to the 25th collection.

That's just it, I never really stopped, this is just the first time since the the TRU 97-98 stuff and the 2000 two packs that I am going crazy. Before this it was vintage stuff off Ebay
