Watch out, there gonna be incarcerating people who bought Wii's from them and sold them online for $300-400. Not that I'm advocating it, but there's plenty of items they sell that can be profited on. Especially, when they have sales after Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I called Targets corp. office and faxed this B.S. to them, and here's the just of what was said in a nutshell/
They're striving to keep prices low, and shelves full, but in no way are people being flagged, it sounded like the store in question had a person in question that the Management had trouble with. It is in no policy to label collectors as scalpers, Let's start checking facts before we gossip like fourth graders! |

Well, that settles that then. All you daily stalkers can breathe easier.
Man, this would all be easier if ebay had some sorta items must be X amount of years old policy. |

This is my favorite part:
"They will not stock collectible items of any sort, even if the pegs or shelves are empty of product for any amount of time and they have stock in the back, until the order to do so comes in from the corporate office... Any item in the store can be considered collectible" Dark 5cythe, thanks for the informative and logical posts; the real power of a place like this is the variety of perspectives/knowledges, so thanks for sharing some Target insight...

1 get conformation that this is Target's corporate stand. 2 if so get it in writing. Have a copy e mailed, mailed or faxed to you. 3 forward or send copy of said letter to Hasbro along with a signed potion saying that we as collectors will boycott Target. This will hurt Target with their exclusives. Now on to something else, I can see Target getting mad about people buying their exclusives then reselling it on E Bay. It does say "Target exclusive" on the product so as long as Target has the product in their retail system then they do have a legitimate beef. Last edited by bradforj; 02-16-2008 at 03:12 PM.. |

May I suggest taking it easy on the politics so that this thread doesn't get taken over and end up closed. I'm tired of losing interesting threads because someone decides to "make a statement". |

The guys at my Target are all really friendly, and they almost always go get stuff out of the back for me.

Anyhow, isn't this thread dead? Target corporate responded that this was not standard policy. What more is there to discuss, except possibly trying to make life hell for that stupid manager? |

Don't tell me hisstank has now become the pc opinion blockading place that other certain joe collector sites have, that is why that particular site is far less popular than it used to be, although i totally disagree with the opinion expressed in the filecard post, he should have every right to post it, this site should be open as it has in the past regarding such issues as the gi joe movie being about real american heroes rather than an international task force called gi j.o.e.
