Hey,
I just picked up a Zartan a couple of days ago and was wondering if anyone can tell me what triggers his color changing face. I haven't moved him from the shelf I put him on after opening him, but his face is a different shade of green everytime I look at him. What gives? |

If i remember correctly zartans face will get greener, the colder he gets. So if you put him in the freezer, he should get really green. He was the opposite of the 80's original which changed color in the sunlight...

How long does it take to trigger the color change? I put him in the freezer for a couple of seconds and didn't notice a difference.

Some Zartan's do not have the coloring changing feature, your's may be the case. Did the box art state that it had it?

Thus far I have not seen pictures of one that didn't change colors. I've heard a rumor of one, but all the ones that don't say color change ability on the package still change color.
There have been cases where the color change paint on the face isn't applied as heavily. I'd say you need to keep him in the freezer for at least 30 seconds to a full minute. If you still notice no change see what happens when you run it under hot water. |

Stick him in the freezer for a good 5 minutes. He should be as green as a "V" alien when you take him out. For the opposite effect, aim a blow dryer at his face and crank up the heat for a good 5-10 seconds. He will lose all of his green pigment and look "normal".

Same situation....when I bought mine, it was flesh tone..but it seems the more I see him in stores now, his face is green. Checked my first Zartan, still flesh colored (has sticker) while the other is green (no sticker). Hehe... so not sure.

Ok, now stick him in your freezer for a few days if that doesn't work light a match and burn his head. That should do it.
