ROC Gunship question

I traded this with a tanker recently and just got home to finally check it out. Still def on the fence about it and would NOT have paid $25 for it. (Luckily he traded a couple of figures for it).

Anyway-it has two black handles underneath it. Sort of like handlebars. Firefly's hands attach perfectly to it so it looks like he hanging on. Is that what they are intended for or is it for something else?

You can also attach the grapple hook and platform that came with the Baroness figure to 'reproduce' the movie scene when she escapes from the Joe counter-attack.

I'm seriously tempted to attach rotor blades on top of the Cobra gunship.

Its for the idiots that didn't call shotgun quick enough. Only the two best soldiers get to ride inside. the others have to hang on to the bottom.

I like the feature of the handles underneath the gunship, but it would have been better if the passenger compartment was larger.

I dont know but the dragonhawk comes withthe same handles
