GIJohn's custom Triple T w/ 25th Slaughter got me thinking; would anyone like to see new sculpt vehicles repainted as classic ones? Looking at YoJoe, I came across these:
Night Attack Chopper as Dragon Fly w/ Wild Bill repaint Cobra Fang v3 in original Fang colors Cobra Hiss v4 in original Hiss colors Patriot Grizzly tank in either Mobat or Mauler colors Cobra Venom Cycle in Silver Mirage colors Cobra Polar Blast in Polar Battle Bear colors Air Assault in Falcon glider colors Air Assault in Viper glider colors Ice Saber in Snow Cat colors Cobra Battle Hornet in Trouble Bubble colors Cobra Venom Striker in Ferret colors Cobra Night Adder in Rattler colors Cobra Pulverizer in SNAKE colors(either white or blue) These are the ones I could think of. Good idea or no? I think at least *some* of them would be a cool idea.

I think the Cobra Night Adder was done up in Cobra Blue at one point
The biggest drawback with a lot of the cobra new sculpt vehicles were that they had "animal-like" parts. Like the Crimson Command Chopper, while still pretty cool, I coulda done without the snake scales and stuff. Same can be said about the Pulverizer. It was cool in VvV but if we're gone re-deco it up like the ole Snake Armor, let's use parts from the GI Joe Mech (Or just re-deco the Joe Mech like the Club did for Destro's mech) |

I know what you mean. Thunderwing, Grizzly tank and the Night Attack Copter would be awesome.

I would like to see the H.I.S.S. v4 in classic H.I.S.S. colors...I do agree with the statements above, the scales really threw me off when it came to buying the Night Adder...

The Thunderwing and Grizzly are both great ideas for 25th toys without using 80's molds.

The sky sweeper jet looks kool too but from the pictures it looks kinda small. The Nights OPs humvee is bad ass as well as the DTC HISS. |

I would liek to really see all the Sigma Six vehicles re-done for 3.75" size figures.
Those would have been very cool if they didn't change the size.

Seriously, JvC/VvV vehicles on the whole were terrible when compared to the vintage line (with minor exceptions such as the Hummer variations). Settling for JvC/VvV with vintage paint apps would just be lame when compared to new vehicles styled to match the look of the 25th ann line. We should be demanding new classic styled vehicles. Just think about this; compare the 82'-83 Flash with the new one. Now, what if Hasbro released a new version (a complete new sculpt) of the VAMP that was updated with the care and realism of the new Flash. That VAMP would kick so much A$$. Just imagine a new MOBAT, Dragonfly, Skystriker, etc. I know that a lot of people think this could never happen, but just remember, a little over a year ago the 25th line that we now have would have sounded like a pipe dream.
And, Sigma Six is dead, let's just walk away and leave it that way. Combining these lines dilutes the core 25th brand. Let the ARAH/25th line stand on it's own. Last edited by TARGETSIX; 02-14-2008 at 01:42 PM.. |
