As far as the original posting, I personally would hold on to them until the hype of the movie begins to increase. Also, I thought I read somewhere that Hasbro would begin removing the 25th anniversary logo from the single carded figures sometime this year.
In my opinion that would make the few we are seeing now more valuable in the future. There is a reason almost every peg is empty on my weekly jaunts to WalMart and Target, they are not mass producing them. (I certainly feel they will closer to movie time.) |

I agree with Jambi, I think the movie will increase the interest for this line and that may be a better time to unload what you don't want, and at least this gives you some time to think it over. I don't think you will make a ton of money but you won't lose a ton either. I also agree with the others that this line looks better than the originals.

Awesome responses guys. What I've finally decided (and was agreed upon with my wife) is to limit myself to two of any future 25th line and 6 of my favorite ones (HISS Driver and Viper). I've already got multiples of the current waves up through Wave 5. She said if I see a really good deal on ebay for vintage stuff I could maybe get it-yeah, she wears the pants...

For me it's about making up for a lost collection. My return to Gi joe came with the relaunch of the comics a few years back. But I only started buying the figures again with the 25th. Mostly I am keeping them sealed because I like the way they look in package, but there are a few I'll buy doubles of to open.
Remember in this day and age if your looking to buy toys as an investment, you should think again and look into investing in stock or money markets. Collect toys to enjoy them |
