I've got a bunch of the GI joe 25th anniversary figures and I keep them in package. I don't really care about the value I just like how they look. But how do you display yours? I've got mine pegged to my wall.
I've seen in pictures people have like some sort of plastic package to put the figure in while still in it's original package. what are these and can you pick them up at a regular department store? I had some older figures that I left in package on my wall and over time dust got to them and now the plastic that holds the figure is so nasty looking with permanent stains left by dust. I want to avoid this with my 25th anniversary ones. Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

I have yet to buy any myself, but I know a fair amount of people use Star Cases. You can pick them up from http://www.wholesalecases.com/star-wars-supplies.html -- it's the first one listed (although there are other versions). Not sure if you can find anything like this locally. Probably depends on what kind of hobby shops you have around.
All of my MOC figs are in boxes at the moment :( Hopefully I'll get some cases and figure out a way to display them soon. My bedroom is pretty cramped. |

I store mine in the Star Cases in the link provided by Croc Master, and I cannot recommend them enough.

I can't really describe what happened to someone who uses these cases really well, but.. imagine tape on the cards and removeing the tape and the tape takes some of the card with it.. It may depend on environment also. |

Actually this was tested with star cases and hot wheels. If you have a humid basement, and do not use a humidifier. The star case can and will stick to the card on the silver edges, which will rip/smear off when you open them after a prolonged enclosed time. I personally store all my gi joes and hotwheels in star cases and run 2 humidifiers in my basement. I have 8 pegboards right now full of joes and hotwheels.. will get pix tomm.

Thanks for all the info. It kind of sucks that these cases cost over a dollar each and that the figures get stuck in them. I'm still not sure if I'll get these.
Redeemedsoulmm, I wouldn't mind seeing those pics of your set up when you get them. |

I got mine in those starcases aswell...stored in boxes to keep them nice..they are acid free and are plastic.how can it possibly stick to the card???? they were designed specically for keeping cards nice. They certainly dont look like they can do any damage other than preventing damage. My brother uses Starwars for his starwars and never has a problem
