My Walmart has had literally a few hundred figures in stock for the past few weeks and I occasionally wander through and see what all is there. I passed on a Helix and numerous Dukes, Stormshadows, Eels, Destros, etc, etc. I finally broke down and bought a Pit Commando. I bought it mainly for all the accessories that I could dink around with for customizing. The figure was pretty plain but I was impressed with all it came with. I have to say that if I were to take up collecting this stuff, I am happy that my Walmart has everything as far as figures go that I would ever want. Vehicles are still scarce but oh well. I just wish they would have stocked the 25th like they have RoC.

There's a reason that the 25th wasnt' stocked like RoC.....
PIT Commando is a great figure. Should grab a Helix and Desert Duke, those are both good. Desert Duke has some good stuff for customizing.

I almost got the Helix and the Desert Duke looked pretty cool. The other Dukes, especially the one in the accelerator suit looked really awkward but maybe it was just me. His head doesn't look like it matches the body. That SS in the long coat looks to have possibilities as well.

I havent really bought anything ROC except for the Steel Crusher but I probably might buy a pit commando just for the accessories if I ever come across one. I just like 25th much better and Im still getting the ones I missed out on on ebay and bbts.
Edit: Oh wait, I guess the RHINO I got at Target is ROC even though it really wasnt in the movie at all Last edited by SierraSerpent; 08-30-2009 at 11:52 PM.. |

I saw so many of the figures and the first chance I got to go to target when the RHINO was on sale, I grabbed the Rhino, Ice Dagger,2 of the Target Exclusive Sets-Snake Eyes+Cycle, and Cobra Eel+Vehicle whatever it was...and they had a Agent Helix in the back behind most of the figures..I grabbed her fast....cost me about $100...
That pretty much has signaled my return to buying Gi Joes.... But I had to buy me some Joe Stuff after seeing them so many times...and a good friend of mine I traded with got me the Cobra Night Raven...beautiful looking jet. I'm glad I bought Agent Helix for sure...saw her a few other times at Wal-Mart...but had to break down and get some Joe Stuff.... -Been buying Transformers for quite a while.....got tired of the transforming robots... |

They are just so expensive. It is hard for me to justify buying too many more RoC (except for future Past and Presents) when I can put the money toward O-ringers and further my current collection. I will admit that the Pit Commando and some of the other RoC look like they would be good for customs.

Well I found them expensive when I was collecting 3 of Hasbro's main lines all at once[Plus Comics,Anime Figures, and DVDs] I collected a few months ago Star Wars,Gi Joe,Transformers.
The new stuff looks ok but I'll just stick to the Vehicles, $15 for each Alpha vehicle is ok with me since I think that was the old price for the cooler 25th Anniversary Vehicles. I like it when the Target Exclusive Smaller vehicles are $9.99.... |

Yeah they are expensive! 1 ROC figure costs 8 bucks and 9.75% tax at target for me. I was only able to get 25th vehicles when they went clearance.

Same with the Ultimate Battle Pack, I grabbed it when it went to Clearance.
Though Gi Joes are slightly cheaper than Transformers and I think Star Wars Figures are cheaper than Gi Joes...or about the same price. |
