being a collector is not a crime but being a bad employee should be. it's thier job to help you and answer any and all questions.

It's funny how being overweight and balding when we're mostly middle age collectors is abnormal? Guess what I fit that description, as does many "professionals" with real jobs and careers in the office I work in. If you go to JoeCon, guess what, a lot of collectors can fit that description. I had a guy in line looking like Rico Suave asking me questions on what to have Larry Hama to sign specifically so he could hawk it online. Scalpers come in all shapes and sizes, as do collectors. How many people do I think sitting around online here are svelte, full heads of hair, and GQ models? I don't judge anyone for looking the way they do, some of my best friends and great personalities that I know are a bit off kilter from what fashion magazines, and shows like Friends tell us we should look like.
As far as Target is concerned, it's a mixed bag, I've had good treatment, genuine friendly greetings, and I've had some comments when I've returned stuff. I've never asked someone to check in back, I just hit other Targets or come back on another lunch period from work. Of course, the comments about what they didn't sell online (no douche I'm just returning crap from TRU I got cheaper to replace the Elite Vipers and Pit Commandos you had on hand) showing up to return twenty figures probably didn't make guys day behind the CSR counter, but if you don't like your job go back to school and get a new one. Everyone's life is relative, getting bent out of shape for toys or because of toys from either side is just a waste of energy. |

the deserve isnt, i deserve better treatment. its should receive same service as anyone else.
if customer x asks for a street date of such and such movie they will be given an answer but ask about a street date of a scheduled release of a toy go away? customer y comes in with sale flyer for lava lamp as advertised...none on the shelf...its looked up no prob, ask the same about a toy whole nother thing why does customer x or y deserve to be treated with any better service then the toy collector? What did you wear a big shirt saying "Toy Collector" do they issue little stars for you to wear on your sleeve? Seriously, did you stand a around and wait until you saw how the next customer they had to deal with was treated? You're assuming they only wait for sub-types they don't like? Ever hear of a persecution complex? |

Hmm... Most Targets in MD are ok, just no one has a clue what is going on.. Don't blame that tooo much on the staff, more on the management, which probably haven't been told by corporate.
Most places are happy to check if you do the homework, bring in a DPCI number & printout showing that particular store advertising the item as in-stock online. Not much they can really say after that.

Dude, I have a cousin who works in Electronics in Wal-Mart, a buddies girlfriend works in Target, quite often the people on the floor don't know what's coming. They aren't department managers, store managers, they just work the department. It's not like they get a daily update of the shipping manifest and store inventory. Also I've yet to recieve this Naziesque toy collector treatment.

Seriously, did you stand a around and wait until you saw how the next customer they had to deal with was treated? You're assuming they only wait for sub-types they don't like? Ever hear of a persecution complex? mdaggs are you even reading what i am saying and comprehending it? sunday the no kidding street release the employee made huge lie about it not being there and then with in 3 hours 3 full endcaps were up on the shelf no special fed ex or ups truck came there on a sunday unloaded and then loaded the shelves in 3 hours, she was the one to set up the endcaps and knew the product was there. so it wasnt a matter of not knowing what was coming it was a matter of refusing to sell what was advertised and meant to be on the shelf when the doors opened but because as she called me a scalper she refused to sell to me based on a predetermined notion. i am sorry i could have sworn that customers buy goods, the company gets profits and that pays the employees. is it really smart to turn away an honest customer who is paying for goods that allow you to have a job? with out customers a company goes backrupt does it not |
