I don't know if this has already been discussed, but I realized that one of the Zartans I got does not have the dagger sheath attached to his leg. I've bought a total of three 2 of which were used for customs. The other day I was thinking about them and suddenly realized I never had to remove the dagger on the 2nd Zartan based custom (on the first one I had to sculpt over the hole left from removing the dagger). I went back and looked and sure enough his right leg is fully intact with no dagger and no hole where one should have been. Has anyone else noticed this change? Check your Zartans and see if they have daggers. Considering that they are using this sculpt for Major bludd, and he does not have an ankle dagger, I suppose the change makes some sense.
Now before the skeptics jump down my throat like they do every time anyone tries to share information with them, let me explain a bit more. I open and customize my figures, I do not chase variants. I could care less about any variant. I'm posting this because others may be interested. This is not some juvenal cry for attention, I don't give a crap if you believe me or not, I'm just stating a fact, do with it as you see fit. Now before you ask, I have no idea if the card had a color change sticker etc, as I don't even look at that. It was purchased recently if that helps. I can post pictures later if needed. However the figure in question has already been customized so may be of little use. Besides, I don't think this change is at all rare, just that it may not have been noticed yet. I"m pretty sure if you find a Zartan recently shipped to a store it will be this version. |

relax, buddy, nobody has accused you of anything. most of us here love variants, even if we don't chase every one down either, so if you have found a new one, by all means let us know. of course, we will need pics to validate the claim, but that is just the nature of the beast.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that one. I'll grab all the varaints I can find and this sounds like a screw up because of the new Bludd figure like you said.

Actually in the latest Club newsletter Bludd does have the boot dagger/knife sheath. So your theory is wrong. This could just possibly be a production error you got. We'll just have to keep an eye out for others to see if it was or if Hasbro decided to remove it for some unknown reason.

When I saw the title I was thinking that the knife was a loose accesory that didn't get packaged. But this sounds like it's a sculpt change. Much like how Shipwreck doesn't have an anchor on his belt buckle. This "Knifeless" version is probably what all the Zartan figures released for now on will be since he's in the revision case that's showing up at Wal-Marts now

for anyone looking for these revision assortments, I have seen them more at Target and KB than Wal Mart, so check there, they aren't exclusive to Wal Mart. |

I just checked all 3 Zartans that I own, and all have the attachment. I think it's time to jump down Captain Hydra's throat! FOR SPARTA! lol

Ok I looked closely at the figure in question. He has 2 left shins. I can tell because the buckles at the bottom face the same, way unlike the Zartan I have with the knife. I figure this is just an error rather than a running change, as others have said that the new ones they've seen have the knife. I assume pictures are useless as, like I said the figure has already been opened, and swaping a shin would be very simple for someone to do. In the end it looks like I just got shorted my knife. :(
I had not realized that Major Blood had the knife as well, that's kind of chessy. |

Can we see how it looks anyways?
I'm sort of interested on how a holsterless Zartan looks.
