Thanks for the pics. I remember the original figures even had troubles fitting in the Vector and Eliminator so no surprise there. Mostly though, they aren't too hard to fit.
With the talk of possibly seeing Backstop released, I just wanted to let those wondering that modern figures don't fit in the cockpit of the Persuader without mods. The tub is too short for their legs to fit all the way. You have to open it up and cut it out. You can see in this pic just the right of his boot knife that I had to cut out the front. The good thing is they fit really nicely after you make the cut and it's invisible on the outside cause it's the inner tub. The figure's feet then rest on top of the bumper mechanism so that still will work fine.

Yeah, I thnk the same thing you did for the Persuader would work on the Eliminator and the Vector both, possibly the Vindicator as well. Interestingly enough, ME figures fit the Future Fortress part that drops out of the Vindicator better than the main cockpit. I am planning to eventually mod my BF 2000 vehicles to fit ME better and give them repaints now that Cobrastickers has decals for them all.

Darklon will fit in the Evader if you take off the sword and place his feet as shown in the pictures below.
I didn't bother putting the seatbelt on all the way as I just wanted to snap the picture. Basically, he can't use the foot rest designed on the vehicle and you have to put his feet past it. They may touch the front wheel too but he will fit. If his arms were just slightly longer (like if they just used the arms that were originally on that body they used for Darklon), then he may be able to reach the guns on the side.

It doesn't mention this on page 1 so I want to ask, if the peg is shaved down, how is Zanzibar's Air Skiff with modern Joes? I loved that vehicle.

Thanks for the pics. I was gonna get an Air Skiff for Zanzibar but they're too hard to find with both handles in tact at a decent price.
Too bad they used those legs. If he had double jointed knees, I think he would fit much better.

I think anyone with double jointed knees will fit better. It's just the lower leg is too long to fit on the footrest. With double jointed knees, you can bend on the lower joint to make his lower leg shorter. Not sure if it makes sense what I'm saying, but if you just take any double jointed knee figure, you might be able to see what I'm talking about.

What about the Mud Fighter and the Desert Fox? I'm on vintage hunts but I want stuff that looks good. In particular how does a modern joe look on the back gun of that Desert Foc. Thanks any help guys!
