The new Night Raven was so disappointing to me. I LOVE the old one and still have mine in very good condition. No way in hell would I put that new tiny dart shooter next to it. If they remake the Skystriker and "update" it- let's call it "downdate"... they're most likely to kiddy-bash it and make it another stupid dart gun. Then we won't buy it and they'll say "see we said al along it wouldn't sell".
I don't think they're capable of redoing it without screwing it up, so give us the original or nothing at all.
I may chop up an extra parts one I have and kitbash it with a PTE F-22 and see if I can create that "Navy F-22" though.... THAT is sweet!

It's all good no harm no foul.
Yea I know of those drones, actually got to see one displayed on an M-21 looked just awesome. The cool part about the whole thing was the attendant answering questions was an old Crew Chief on the M-21 and then moved on to the SR-71. We talked for an hour at lest sharing stories and having him give me a guided tour around the aircraft; my poor wife was so bored.
I referred to aurora because I remember looking thru an old Popular Mechanic my grandfather had, that talked about the SR-71 and discussed the future of the program although at the time it was not called aurora. Anyway they had a picture of what was believed to be the SR-75 and an XR-7 drone. The article I referred to if I remember correctly was written in the early to mid 80's. I can only find one pic of the concept; it's from a Testor's model released in the early 90's. I know this was after the Night Raven was released and the design had to have been almost a year before that but it is very close to the design I saw. I really wish I'd have kept those old magazines after he passed, as they always had great future tech in them.

F-14 Tomcats have been disbanded. They dont fly them no more because they have been replced by the F-15,F-16 and F-22. The only jet that is still in used from the 70's is the U2. Yes the air force still uses that old azz jet, but it is from area 51....go figure.

As much as id love a new one, I say no because seeing what hasbro has done so far to older vehicles in the RoC line, we would probably get some stupid looking abomination of the jet we all love.

I don't think GI Joe was ever about producing realistic replicas of real aircraft. Instead, most of the Joes' jets were imaginary composites of parts from many different aircraft. The Conquest for example had the wings of an X-29 with the aggressive stance/tail of an F-18.
I think a new Skystriker should be based roughly on an F-22, but with elements borrowed from other planes.
Have to trade:
-MIB Twin Cannon
-MIB Desert Ram
-POC Low Light
-POC Destro (v27)
-POC Shadow Tracker
-POC Snake Eyes (v54)
-25th Red Ninjas
-25th Ninja Vipers
I don't care if the figures are loose or even incomplete :-)
