Bealls isn't the same company as TJMaxx and Marshalls, it's much more of a clothing only store. They just add random stuff every now and then, especially around the holidays. They're one of those "discount" stores that mark everything up 70% and have "huge" 50% off sales, lol.

You've seen the canceled ROC alphas(Lava Pod, Polar Sharc, Tiger Claw, Desert Rockslide) at TJMaxx? I'm not doubting you, just trying to confirm, as this would be the first I've heard of them hitting anywhere besides Ross and a couple random Bealls(Fl). Thanks for any info
I got a POC Wolf Hound at Tuesday Morning for $12.99 last week and they also had the ROC Tiger Claw, Desert Rockslide, and Lava Pod for $7.99 each but the only figure was an ROC Cover Girl. They also have lots of the 12" ROC Snakeyes and tons of the crappy Combat Heroes junk that every other discounter has too. There are two TRU's near me. The one closest to my house has been keeping good 30th stock, and it's been selling very well. I picked up another SB with the black rockets there yesterday. The other currently has ROC Rapid Rollers, POC mechs, Sky Strikers, VAMPS and Black Dragons, and has not had a single new carded figure since ROC wave 2. There's also one local Walmart that's kept intermittent stock of POC and has been fully stocked on 30th. The others are very hit and miss. The Targets keep halfway decent Joe stock, but it sells fast. There are loads of toy collectors in my area, most of them scalpers/dealers. They generally leave my local TRU alone because they're also cheapskates. Last edited by Psycho Joe Guy; 11-15-2011 at 05:38 AM.. |

Yep. TJMaxx owns Ross (and Marshalls), and though Ross has had the majority of the stock on the ROC Alpha's, TJ Maxx has had the odd one around here too, though their Hasbro Christmas stock has been mostly Transformers and POC mechs. Ross has had two full cases, stocked one case per stock cycle in a few stores around here. I have doubles on everything except the Tiger Claw and could get it too if I wanted it. They go for $8.99 each.

Oh. Kind of neat I guess. Now that you mention it, I did see the Bumblebee one. I almost bought it, but I would have preferred it to be a true classic style. It is nice to see Bumblebee be in the classic scale though.

Yeah these legends class figures are small but cool. I think I found some at Tuesday Morning for $2.99 a couple months ago. Here TJ Maxx and Ross are getting flooded with toys, mostly cars and stuff but hardly anything collectible.

The gold Bumblebee legends figure you saw is an ode to his classics form, albeit a far less known one. Towards the end of the G1 series, after OP's return, Bumblebee was rebuilt into a more mature version..."Goldbug".
