I know I've seen them at least once at either a TJ Maxx or Marshall's. For the life of me I can't remember which one.

OK, I have to vent. I went to TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and grabbed Impact Armor Duke for $4. Right next to it they had a ROC wave-1 SS package with NO figure and the packaging was taped up...with scotch tape! The non-native English speaker at the register had no idea the figure was missing until I pointed it out. She asked if I wanted it...NO! Anyway, I went on with my day and that was about it for that particular TJX experience.
Fast forward to this afternoon when I walk into the same TJX store to look for Joes and found a HoH BAT (Yay me!) for $5.99 and right next to it is the SAME EXACT FLIPPIN' SS packaging priced at the same cost as the complete ones, for $3! Once again I bring an example to the register as well as the BAT I wanted to buy -- chose a cashier that spoke English -- and said the same lines as mentioned above. She told me "It's discounted to $3 because of this." I pointed out the complete one was $3 as well, so after talking it over with her manager, she offers the empty shell of a package (scotch tape and all) for $1.50 if I wanted to buy it...stating to me they lose money if it is thrown away and, well, it's not like Macy's where they can afford to throw this out. It's not like Macy's!?! Where the hell did that line come from? I gather she saw my Dooney & Bourke wristlet I was using and assumed I was an avid shopper there. How much do you want to bet the next time I go there it will STILL be there on the rack??? |

how did you pass up such a bargain? i've wondered many a time, when i see a blister card w/ no figure but maybe an accessory left inside if they'd just let me have it. never bothered asking, though.

had the same experience at a t j maxx store some time ago.i showed the man stocking the shelfs a figureless card back and he asked me what he should do about it?i told him to do his job and remove it from the shelf.at that point he started to get really rude so i asked to speak to the manager and he too was rude as all hell.i called the corperate office(lady z 1976 did too) to file a complaint and the store manager sent z a gift card to say they were sorry and fired the two rude-ass idiots.what do you expect from a close out store that sells toys?they think if an adult is buying toys or even looking at the toy department, then said adults are idiots and don't deserve respect.

my maxx is a barren wasteland, a rocky place where my seed can find no purchase.
