I always read the posts about how much of a barren wasteland most of the Kmarts are out there and I thought I'd pass on a positive experience. So, I walked into my Kmart today, not expecting much as they are still finishing their reset. I get to the action figure aisle and notice the dept. manager is stockiing Joes. Cool. There are sale signs all over the place and I notice the Steel Crusher is tagged at $16.99. Right above a sign that reads 'Alpha Vehicles, Reg. $16.99, Now $14.44'. Hmmm...somethings not right. So I take it to the manager and explain to him that the item was marked incorrectly (it's a Bravo class) but I still wondered if it was on sale. He scanned it and said since 'No' but since it was tagged wrong and in the wrong location, that he would honor the sale price. I told him that he didn't have to do that but he insisted.

Happy dance for me! He also offered me a raincheck for the Kmart 5-pack that is currently on sale but not shipping until 9/20 (news?). Maybe all Kmarts aren't the armpit of retail after all.
