Since everything is made in china now because of how expensive labor is here, i was wondering how much more our beloved toys would cost if it was made 100% in göod 'ol usa. People complain of $8 figs, what more if they were made in usa..

I'd surmise the labor would be to the employee's @ least minimum wage which national average I think is 7.25 an hour. So taken that into account plus the materials which aren't cheap and having to build factories that can churn out these little gems, I'd say we'd be spending at least 18.00 a figure, maybe a bit more, twenty dollars sounds right. I for one didn't even like spending 6-7 on Modern Era stuff. 20 is out of the question, when the dcuc classics go up to 14.99 in a month I'm done with those. The only reason I bought a few ROC things is because of the TRU 2 fer. The 25.00 Dragonhawk really chapped my ass but I'm holding on to my receipt for the next 3 months to see if I can get it on sale. Something is worth only what one is willing to pay for it.

well, assuming the factories and machinery were all in the USA already, and that they had been produced domestically since their inception (1980s I mean), the cost would be higher, but not $20.
I'd go with $14. And worse paint apps, lol. |

in the original post, it sounds as if suddenly all toys are made in china.
This isn't a new thing...in fact my vintage raptor's butt proudly states that he was made in hong kong.

You're looking at 4 or more times the current cost. Seriously, these made in China cheap prices we are used to are a bubble that's bound to burst as the middle class of China becomes more and more like us. We can see it happening already.

They would be more. How much more is irrelevant since more=bad.
I'm fine getting my American hero from Asia.
