I buy BATS under the guise of... "MINE!" I've only managed to find two in the wild sadly, both at the same store, same time.

If you dont like it get up and go to the store before they do.
I used to complain now I have learned how to hunt its survival of the fittest if you are not willing to hunt you get the scraps. |

So I guess I don't horde, but all the same. The five I own is five that another five collectors missed out on and most of us here are guilty of that.

Sure, you can go buy your 10 figures, but why do that when you can leave a little bit of the joy for someone else? You can't know whether or not a scalper's going to get it, but at least you know that someone legitimate had a chance. As for everyone else trying to say that scalping isn't illegal, blah blah blah internet intelligence, you all know what the OP is talking about, stop playing devil's advocate to make yourselves look more intelligent. There goes the rationalization one of the other posters was talking about. Sure, we have to look out for ourselves and I don't agree with constant complaining, but why is it necessary to take such a "**** you" attitude about it?

True fact, Anyone that goes to a store before 12 noon is a scalper. TRUE FACT.
I suppose that's make me king of the scalpers! I know when I'm hunting I've usually visited around 6 stores before 12. Hell I bet if I didn't take time for breakfast I could have hit up around 12.

Hey little fella...I wasn't trying to play devil's advocate. I was being nice, but I will flat out say it: the OP has a stupid and childish opinion. I don't go to the store wondering what joy I can spread around. What are you talking about? I'm not about the community, I'm not about the collective...I am about finding what I can because I enjoy it. Your kind of attitude is what makes me want to buy more than I need so I can ruin your day.

Just because scalping is not illegal doesn't make it right. Ultimately, though, its up to us not to buy from them. The "get there before them" argument is a pretty hollow one because its just not feasible if you have a normal job, a commute, etc. Only scalpers can afford to spend every morning in retailers' parking lots. Fortunately, there are some store managers/employees who "get it" and take what steps they can to foil resellers, but they're pretty rare.

I fund my toy collection,in part,by doing this.ROC is not a profitable thing. There is just to much out there.I have seen everything but the white coat rex.I don't hoard.I do buy things I don't really want, but buy because I think I do(and after they have sat in my closet for awhile I sell them.Sometimes I made a couple bucks, sometimes I didn't.I put together sets when 25th first came out,I got around 200 for the 1st 3 waves.I did this twice thats when figs were 4.88 so about 75$ bucks worth of figures.I bought them because I wanted them to save moc and then decided to stick with loose collecting.I started the auctions at .99
I just sold a nemesis torso from the ML BAf for 6$ shipped does that make me a bad guy.I had no use for it,I just wanted the Daredevil figure, and someone was very happy to buy it. My advice would be to get up early. Most of the toys you don't get are taken by collectors like yourself.I believe for the most part the "toy scalper"is a urban legend
