Hey everyone. I'm sure some of you here have some skystrikers/rattlers hanging from your ceilings. I want to do the same. Whats the best way for me to go about this. What materials do I need etc?? Any info from the peeps who have done this would be appreciated.
Also if you don't mind, can you post a pic up of your jets (if you can). Trying to get these jets off the ground lol Thanks! |

eye hooks and fishing line. I used two or three eye hooks per jet.

^ Me too. What I do is use fishing line, but I also cover the "points of contact" on the fishing line with masking tape, so they don't dig in to the vehicle (damn you, Gravity!).

If you don't want to hang but still want the " in-flight " look you could try the Flexi-Display stand. They are quite nice made of clear acrylic and come in various sizes. Lost and Found Toys sells them exclusively I believe but could be wrong. No digging in points of contact are covered in clear rubber bumpers. Very cool

I use single point hooks screwed into drywall anchors (makes only one penetration to fill later) and fishing line (two strands just in case one somehow fails). My jets and choppers are a bit larger than Hasbro's.
Have a look here: thunderdan19's Album: My Office - HissTank.com - G.I. Joe I guess you can't actually see the hooks there, but you get the idea. |
