any lines they have in development, and the prospect of fandom for that end,
and now two highly successful movie franchise tie-ins... and a new tv channel... to some degree, a lot of what us forum-goers want .... is akin
to waiting in line for a rollercoaster that is being built while we wait.

I hope that we fans can and do influence Hasbro, but I'm not sure that we do.
I would hope that Hasbro listens to what we want, and at least trys to give it to us... However they clearly make decisions base on much more than fan input!
If we had more influence over Hasbro, they would have already made alot of the figures and vehicles that we have been begging for.
I hope Hasbro listens to the fans more in the future, so we could finaly get:
1. more small playsets
2. more troop builders
3. more cartoon characters
4. more comic characters
5. more classic vehicles
PLease! I need your help to find; LOOSE:
1. Comic Pack October Guard Figures.
2. 1987 Cobra Maggot
3. Cobra Adder
4. Cobra Imp
5. Cobra Bunker parts or complete
6. Cobra Rifle Range parts or complete
7. Loose Pit Commandos, complete or not
8. Loose 25th greenshirts, complete or not

I think the minor fixes that characters go through is proof that Hasbro listens.
The fixed Wrist vipers are the best example of that. Why spend money fixing the wrists when they didn't have to? They did it because we spoke up, and they listened.

Truth is we're still here and we're still buying. so they think the collectors market is handled. their focus is to turn today's kids into tomorrow's tankers. they know at least some of us if not most of us will be there buying up their joes. however today's child has too many choices. it saddens me a little every time I see some kid picking up one of those battle monter anime toys. I keep thinking what the hell is wrong with you kid the joes are over here dumbass! thank god for our children or nieces and nephews. my nephew is a huge joe fan and that gives me some hope. but no I don't think they listen to the forums a great deal.
When I'm through, they'll scrape you off the wall with a squeegee!

The only time that I think Hasbro is listening to us is when they ask. Galactic Hunter and other like minded Star Wars sites have monthy Q&A with Hasbro. The two GI Joe sites that I frequent, this and the terrordrome one do not have monthy Q&A that I see. Or rather not frequently enough. I am wondering, why not.
Hasbro has a yearly poll of Fans Choice for SW. But other than Hall of Heros which isnt really even on the same level as the Fans Choice kinda happened and I dont remember having the ability to offer input.
I'd like to think that Hasbro reads these sites, but there is so much information that it would be more likely that if anything, they have one or two people that frequent the mods posts or something...I honestly dont know and wouldnt imagine how to guess how Hasbro would keep track of the HissTank site.
I'm fairly certain that they dont pay attention to the movie debate which has finally ended, so dont know. I wish that they did though.

For the most part, you have to remember that you can't please everybody. I think they do listen (anybody who's work for any company knows that listening to customer feedback to an extent is one of the keys of running a successful business ). If minor things like fixings arms or re-writing a filecard will appease the fanbase why not do it. But it's something as major as scrapping a whole line that you've invested a lot of money on and is aimed at a new (hopefully larger) market then I think they will thumb theirs noses at us collectors and maybe throw us a bone here and there.
Most of us are happy with the new direction that HASBRO is going and I think they are appeasing want I personally always wanted, a more realistic looking, more detailed GI Joe Action Figure comparable or even better than 21th Century Toys, and BBI. And whose to say that it is not what the majority is asking for. Who knows in a few years HASBRO might even release a 30th anniversary more detailed versions of the 25th line. That's something to look forward to.

Im not sure if they do or not, we did get 25th style figures, but i would think they main audience is the kids. But the new toys from Joecon seem very realistic, so maybe they are targeting the adult collector.

I thinks we do to a point, i know from years of collecting Joes, SW, Transformers and always talking to the project teams and managers of the respective toy lines at Hasbro at Comic Con they do want to hear our input and try to do what they can were possible and take that feed back. and then again the do drop the ball and it happens, i.e. set #5 the Best of 80's Dvd battlepack( and illl admit i got a honest answers from them about how it ended badly as far as alot of us not getting it) so yeah they do hear our concerns
