I just like my figs to look alright displayed, so I haven't bitched at anyone, but my firefly has something in the shoulder joint that actually springs back when you move it, rubber cement maybe. My baroness' arm barely moves, along with a couple other chars with limbs that don't move well and look like they might have been tampered with.
Also does the plastic ever act weird and tighten with no outside interference? There are a couple joints (especially elbows) that look fine and barely move as well. |

Sometimes Ive noticed esp with vipers its darn near impossible to move their elbows.
If they shipped and the container got very cold it can tighten them up alot. Try dipping them in hot water for a couple secs to loosen it. |

When I was 9 I used Elmer's Glue to stiffen up the 30th Anniversary Commemorative Collection Action Marine's legs.

Every dvd pack Serpentor I've gotten, Hasbro has managed to drip glue into his left shoulder joint, making it immobile.

I use crazy glue a lot on loose joints. It's a dissaster if you don't know what you're doing, but if you do it right it tightens up a joint beautifully without fusing it. It's best on loose hip joints (especially loose t-bars) where you can take everything apart and just let the glue dry, but it can work on shoulders and knees (Snow Serpents anyone?) if you're really careful.
The trick there is to make sure the glue is thin enough to seep into the joint, and then keep moving it until it dries. A good seller should let you know of any mods in advance though, even if it's a vast improvement. |

I don't think it's common. I've never noticed anything like that on figures I've bought.

I use zap a gap. Apply a little then work the joint for a few seconds and it will dry around the joint to make the part tighter.

I have seen guys glue the Viper's goggles in place. I have done a few this way myself to keep them from popping off. Anyone who does this should let the buyer know about it ahead of time if he sells them though.

Very true, I use a few tricks, like glue, to keep parts that pop of or don't fit right. If I was going to sell them it would be for the best to tell the buyer first.
