Not that this is anything new or yet to be discussed in some shape or form, but I just walked out of TRU after seeing the Wave 7 Comic Packs for the first time in person.
I can't help but be annoyed by how Hasbro continues to pack initial run ARAH figures in the comic packs. Scrap Iron and "Data" Frame look great, but I don't do the Comic Packs and only have interest in MOC RAH singles. Of course I'm sure that we'll see them down the road as singles, but as usual in some wacky color scheme. Which = instant turn off. Keep the Comic Colored figures WITH and IN the Comic Packs IMO. It's a shame that Ripper, Torch, Copperhead, Scrap Iron, Mainframe and so on end up going this route. You could say that Hasbro does it in this manner, knowing that the RAH version is the most popular, therefor purposely packing it with another to get you to buy both, but I think that it would seem more logical and successful the other way around. Keep the RAH figs. old school as the singles and the Comic Figs. IN the Comic packs. Will the Comic Ripper and Torch for instance be a success as singles? Of course not, but throw them both in a Comic Pack W/ an actual Comic *makes sense* while the RAH renditions are singles and it's a hit making us all happy at the same time, no? Blah....just a shame that all of these great looking RAH figs. are packed the way that they are. Who knows, maybe we'll all get what we want eventually, although I don't see it. So, anyway that's just me venting.....On the bright side, less to buy!! In addition, isn't the upcoming RAH Tunnel Rat going the Comic route as well? Which means his single will most likely be Tiger Force or Comic related. BAH!! Quick kick too......*Think* Tiger Force Single Quick Kick... /Throw up Last edited by Sysiss; 11-26-2008 at 08:53 PM.. |

Bah! I rip 'em open anyway, so getting two figs for $11 instead of $14 seperately is nothing to complain about. I know some people like to display the cards on the wall, but can't you do that with comic packs too?

I wish the classic versions were all single-carded as well instead of in comic packs or with vehicles. At least they did single-card Tripwire the right way. Perhaps they will do the same with Falcon.

After a strong start a year ago, what I as well as others have looked forward to and wanted seems to be coming less and less. Maybe that'll change, but it seems as if Hasbro is going in a different direction. I have Blowtorch to look forward to at least. |

I like the card art too... but like the figures more. Slice those bubbles open with a blade and the card is left undamaged. I get the best of both worlds.
And more comic packs please. $10 for 2 figures >>> $7-8 for one figure. Just no more Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and CCs. |

This is neither news nor rumor, and you have to (in general) think of it this way: they can only do so many single carded figures, a lot of these guys you are getting in a comic pack or not at all...

the beachead/mainframe is the only one thats worth it to pick up.i was bummed after i bought the wild bill /scrap iron one,the quality of the figures suck.i wont buy the hard master one no way.loose limbs, wild bills peanut head, white revolvers?wtf?these seem to be getting worse.i hope the shockwave cp comes out ok.its cool to get a comic and 2 figs for 9.99,but if they continue to repack repaints like the latest wave w gung ho and c.c and deep six forget it.i just picked up the last dvd pack, now thats a sweet set.....

Not being a MOC guy, I don't care how we get them as long as we get them.

i like the comic packs especially after wave one. wave 1 was a definite stinker line up. the new wave coming with armored cc & gung ho looks just as crappy. yeah the single cards are nice but with the price at 8 each, i rather have the comic pack with some value.
