Picked one up tonight on sale for $40 (( the night ravens are NOT on sale and are still $40 so I got the Rhino instead.))
Opened it up and played around with it for a bit.... er.... "Posed" it for pictures.... yeah. Will post pics tomorrow when I down load them on the wife's PC. Short review for now. It's a VERY nice toy. For $40, it's a really good one. With the little, alpha vehicles being $16 and the Bravo's clocking in at $26, this is ALOT of toy for $40. Nice solid feel. It's got some weight to it. Doesn't feel like you'd break it if you kicked it by accident on the floor. I like the build of it. When I picked it up I really debated spending the money. I'm pretty poor, so this was my 'big purchase' for a while and I'm pleasantly surprised. When you take the chopper out of it, there's not a gaping hole. Nope! A little platform elevates up and 'Fills the gap" so your APC doesn't look reflicted. THIS!! Makes a HUUUGE Difference for me. I was worried it'd have a huge helo shaped gaping hole in the middle. It doesn't. Bravo Hasbro. The chopper is a bit more delicate, you don't wanna drop it down the stairs or anything. It's not bad. I imagine kids would love a tank that also had a chopper. It's a nice gimmick as far as they go and you can out fit it with launchers from the tank. The tank itself sits two in the front, two separate seats, two in the chopper, then has access hatches on the side.. One opens with a spring loaded button (( neat!)) the other is manual. Then some thing of a hidden function I didn't notice till I was switching launchers around to different ports, The back has two flip up hatches too, one has a computer bay thing, with seats for two, maybe 3, the other has seating for 3 or so figs and is connected to the opening hatch. Very nice! and unexpected. They blend in pretty well and if you have the launchers on the top you'd' never see them. The helio elevator is triggered by a button in the back and has a very nice 'slow raise' function. As if hydrolics were really raising it up to take off. Not just CLICK BOING!!!!" it's subtle but very nice if you think about it. The figure is ok. Not bad for a pilot. Good homage to the fig from the 80s. comes with a pistol, a removable helmet ((nice snug fit. no wobble pop offs)) and a sub machine gun with two removable clips. The Rhino has two movable 3 missile launchers that can fit in a number of ports or on the snub wings of the chopper. One longer spring loaded single launcher, and a couple of guns you can swap around. these aren't bad. Not super amazing but not bad. It's the Rhino itself that really shines. It's very much got the feel of the APC From Aliens, that we all know and love. The colors are pretty good. A dark blue and dark gray/black accents and such. The only 'GLARING" thing are that the missiles are bright neon green. Which goes well with the color scheme, and will be HARD to loose if you're a kid. They can be seen from orbit. I'd give it a solid 9 out of 10. The launchers could be a smidge better. The missiles being neon green isn't 'perfect' as I'm sure black ones would be lost in minutes in most children's rooms. Figure is good but kinda plain below the hips (( and his jacket)) not really 'bad' but could be cooler. Great toy though. May go into more detail when I upload images. I highly recommend you pick it up if your target has them at $40.

My 2005 Rhino is in my top three of favorite vehicles. It does so much. Going to be hard to not to pick the new one up. Are there many differences in the two?

The 05 was black and gray, I prefer the new one's color scheme a bit better. If for nothing else, that it's not glossy like and fits in a bit better with the line. "All black" Vehicles, tend to wash out a bit. You loose some of the details. I get it, 'night ops' and what not. But studies have shown full black items actually stand out more at night. As few things in the world are actually all black. They stand out like voids. I don't own the 05. So I can't do a side by side compairison. This is my first Rhino and I rather like it alot.
