I wait for waves to come out and when I see them I by as many as I can, to complete the wave. So the questions I pose to you are:
1. Do you buy complete waves when you find them, do you order cases on line, do you buy single figure ie. cherry pick, or are you a completists? I do complete waves when I find them. 2. To open or not to open and why? Depends... I was a (buy two and open one), However I have been opening all the ROC line. 3. Do you set them up or do they go into a baggy or tote bin. Both for me, however I have been running out of space for set ups. Mostly the 25th line sadly has ended up in the tote bin for storage purposes, and replaced by the ROC line. The most important question.... 4. Why do you collect? I love these things. I collect because it is fun.

I am a completist by nature. I'll start by buying my faves, usually the Cobra troops, and then complete the wave from there. I have been buying about 2-3 of each Viper and eventually at least 2 of every figure, one to open and one to store MIB. It's a great, although expensive, hobby for me and I love the thrill of finding that short-packed figure. Bring on more 2 for $10 sales TRU!

I have a few 'collector' things like an AFA and some really rare 25th stuff.
But that's all stuff before my prototype collection really took off. Now I pretty much only buy prototypes and test-shots because I am fascinated with the process. I also think some of them look really exciting or really crazy. I don't collect any MOC really yet. I troop build odd things like TRU Firefly and the black resolute repaint SE. Why do I do it? It's fun as hell. I may not take my signature pics seriously... as in the tone is never serious... but I take them really seriously as far as trying to come up with something entertaining but still celebrating the Joe line(s). I keep everything in bins when I'm not using them as I don't really have the space at the moment (cuz we're in the process of moving) to keep them displayed.

What do you mean by "distubs". Is your collection grossly huge?
