So I was at Target. They were readying for the reset.
Found a perfect carded ME EEL. No creases or dings, perfect paint apps. Solid. Started looking through the RoC figures, and a kid, about 12 or so, asked me where I found it. Told him, he bolts. I overhear he and his parents talking. He excitedly said, "A man over there said he found a classic Joe on this isle!" There were no others, I could sense his disappointment. Saw them at the end of another isle, motioned to his dad and he nodded. Told the kid, "IF you want this, go ahead. But if you don't, I am buying it." He was all smiles. His mom found me a minute later and told me that was the nicest thing she has seen in a while. Felt good. And then I realized that it would be somewhere from $.75 to $1.50. Crap! Oh well. Sideways smiley and all that.

I'm still seeing the same 25th/ME stuff that has been shelf warming since the beginning of the year. I picked out all the good stuff awhile ago, lol.

But hey, we have new classic (neo classic?) EELs something with the Wave Crusher or whatnot. I'm cool. Got my squad of five and two carded, and will get a couple of the new ones.

Good stuff! Although I may have to agree with Syn3sthesia that the kid would have been disappointed... but maybe not with the thought of the ROC Eel...

What makes you seem even better in this story is that it was an EEL! I've still NEVER seen that figure at retail. I can only say that for the foiled Flint and the Eel.
Nice job man, they are afterall toys. |
