There is nothing more embarassing than being a 31 year old college student and having your 21 year old dormmate bring over hot young females who happen to see your G.I. Joe posters and figures proudly displayed. How do you explain that one .... : (

I have Final Fantasy X figures and posters displayed also, so I am going with the excuse that I am majoring in video game programming and all the game designers I have seen have action figures for inspiration. It's the absoulte truth but it still seems pathetic trying to explain that to a hot blonde chick. : /

And after Baroness just added me to her friends list on here and seeing how hot she was I don't feel half bad now. There just needs to be more hot chicks that collect toys ; )

Is this where our meetings take place??
Hi, I am Kris. I am 31 and I am a Joe fan. I had tons of these toys as a kid and sold them all at a yard sale. :? After getting Bellomo's new G.I. Joe Collector's book and the 1st season of the cartoon there has been some reawkening of my desire for my toys back. Is this normal? I just went to various toy stores and bought $100 worth of the ROC line. I am still trying to rationalize if I am losing my mind at this age or either making a good investment in the future. Anyway it's good that I am not alone ... well I hope I am not anyway. I just thought that I could be one of the oldest people in this forum! : ( Enjoy the toys man and don't be scared to buy more!!! Toys are for fun. Whether you just keep them in the pack or break them open to mess with. It doesn't matter because either way you are satisfying that inner child within you. Just like in Beavis and Butthead!

I feel for you Joecom. I have probably droped about $4-500 on Joes from the ROC line and can't wait for the new ones to come out. I have even put my car in storage to save the extra cash while I am in school to cover the impulsive buying lol. A bit overboard I guess for a first timer.
And the sad thing is ... after spending several days putting decals on my PIT Mobile Base and then posing all my figures around it, my RHINO and other smaller vehicles I think to myself ... what they hell am I doing??!! |
