I've seen it described as an AK-48, but I think that's clearly false.
The handle and straight clip make it look like Marauder's NVR, but now that I have that in hand, I don't that's right either. I was hoping to replace my Retaliation Crimson Guard weapons with something from Marauder Gun Runners that looked more liked the Vintage release and the cartoon, but I keep striking out with my picks. The bayonet M14 isn't right. The NVR is a bit off because of the sight and handle. And an AK-47 with a bayonet has a curved clip. I guess I'm just out of luck.

I always figured it to be some Cobra version of the FN-CAL, or possibly the FNC.
For what it’s worth, the old ARAH comics often had them using Steyr AUGs... which Marauders makes.

I didn’t initially notice you were talking about the Retaliation version. That guy comes with a version of the OTs-14 Groza. Marauder’s doesn’t make one of those. The closest in silhouette that they make would be the Type 95.

I think you're right. I think its the FN FAL. I stupidly let myself be thrown off by that little removable handle that Marauder's pics show on it. I will try that with my next order.

Well, here are the three guns I've tried (25th, Marauder FAL, and Retaliation). I have no idea which I prefer.
Out of curiosity, did Marauder ever make a bayonet for this FAL? It looks like it has a place for it.

I think the one that's closest to your monitor captures the original feel pretty well.

It's also a little small. The bayonet helps, but when you see the gun on the ground next to the others, it seems a bit out of scale. Still, if I could get 10 or so of them easily, I'd probably just use that.

The 25th is definitely the most accurate. But it's also, by far, the hardest to get right now (without outright buying 25th Crimson Guards).

I don't have that ability and the one time I inquired about someone casting a gun for me (the Cobra SMG), the price was prohibitive. But if someone knows of an affordable way to get guns like this or someone who does castings for a good price, please let me know.

It’s the design time involved. So 1 piece that hasn’t been made will run you $40-50 . 35-45 of that is the time on design. The cast should only run $3-5 bucks for something like a small weapon Once you pay for the design recasts for the same item is 3-5 bucks. Keep that in mind if you need a cast that’s newly designed by someone . Hope this helps
