I think the line could support it.
Even if the 25th style were fewer in number. I also think kids would like the colourful ones more. |

Next year I figure each wave will be 6-8 figures, 75% of it will be RoC inspired, 25% will be "classic" Joe.

I voted for 2 lines, but they don't want to confuse the kiddies!! Heaven forbid there is a white and a black Ripcord on the pegs side by side.

I know its sarcasm, but if I put myself in a kids shoes, they see GI Joe as GI Joe, not as 25th, Modern and ROC, so I think having a white and a black Ripcord right next to each other would indeed by a bit confusing.

They do it with Transformers. You had Classics/Universe and Animated going at the same time. Now their is Animated, although it is nearing it's end, and the Movie line going at the same time. Why not!

because there are ramifications to two lines that those who simply want it don't understand and don't have to worry about. there are actual business factors that go into these decisions, they aren't made arbitrarily.

Yeah it's called Hasbro's scared to death that the Movie is going to bomb and take the toy line with it. Therefore they push this as the only line and pray that the collectors buy it up.

well here is a place you can email Hasbro to have your say.
EMAIL US!! ok i hear the ones who say no. im sorry if you think that them putting joe names on figs that dont look like them is giving us a bone. i mean look at footloose & repeater. they are not in classic form what so ever. They just have the names. I have been waiting for footloose to hit since the lunch of the 25th line. I wont buy that set. Hasbro can do both lines. They dont even have to do that many in a wave for the classic line. say 5 figs a wave. 3 Joes or named Cobras with 1 trooper builder. 1 or 2 vehicles a wave or every other wave. This way Resolute can join them with the right Card art. so if they do 4 figs it could be 2 or3 classic 1 or 2 Resolute figs. 1 troop builder. there you go. The movie line can do what ever it wants to with who ever that want. Quote:
ok they have 2 lines that this works for now. so why cant joe. Last edited by xhairs; 07-27-2009 at 08:07 PM.. |

I feel there is no need for two lines. Give me the classic Joes and Cobras in the 7 pack format and I'll cherry pick the ROC Figures for what I find interesting.
In the end Hasbro will get to every Joe and Cobra from the ARAH days, so I'm not too worried. |
