Go to Lowe's and ask them to point you toward a dremel. These things are little hand held sanders and you can be different attachments to help you hallow out thinks.

From what I understand you will need the following tools: (I've only halfway used this method)
Exacto Knife A Dremel (or Rotary tool) a Glue Gun Vaseline Most of these items should be able to be found at hardware, craft and beauty supply stores (Depending on which item you're looking for) First use the Exacto Knife to cut the neck off. I usualy cut just under the chin line and follow it up to the base of the head. Then take the Dremel and cut out a hole in the bottom of the head. There is a "bit" that looks like a metal ball on top of a pole that I've heard is best for this step (I haven't been able to find one yet though so I just use one of the "bits" that came with my Dremel set) This is where I have usually stopped. if the hole is small enough, it can hold tight but you don't get the full range of movement as you do with an actuall 25th head. I've been told you can get the range if you follow the following steps: Make sure the hole you made in the head is bigger than the ball on the neck you want to put this head on. Put the Vaseline on the neck making sure to cover it completely Using the Glue Gun, fill the hole you made in the head with the glue (don't fill it completely, leave a little bit of space. Put the head on the neck and position it where you want it to sit. Let the glue dry, then you can pop it off like you would a normal 25th head. Some of the glue will have been pushed out of the head when you set it on the neck, just cut this excess away and you should be ok. Make sure to clean off the Vaseline after the glue has dried Like I said though, I haven't tried the Vaseline / Glue Gun bit yet, but I've been told it works great. (You can also use the same method for making Star Wars heads fit on 25th Joes bodies) |
