I just recently discovered the world of Masterpiece Transformers and I've been watching a lot of videos on Tarkara's, Hasbro's, and various third-party companies that are making figures in this line that is clearly being marketed to the adult collector. As I'm watching these videos a question popped into my mind why doesn't Hasbro have an equivalent line for the JOEs? There was the Sideshow from a few years back, but since Sideshow stopped making JOEs nobody else has decided to pick up where they left off. What's really shocking to me is why hasn't a third party company started making product that's G. I. JOE in every way but name? Though small, there is a market and a demand for such a product. A masterpiece Skystriker, APC, F.A.N.G. Copter, Hovercraft, Hydrofoil, or a Flagg (with segments between $400-$500,) would be dope as fuck.

Marauders Task Force is getting closer and closer all the time to Joes that aren't actually Joes. I know there's a significant aesthetic difference, but with new parts and kickstarters, some of those gaps are starting to close.
They're pretty much a bicep length rolled sleeve shirt and classic BDUs with combat boots away from some fantastic options for Joe replication.

Wouldn't the 6 inch line be this if/when they do 'Classics'?

PoC was the equivalent, for figures. The 6" could get there, if they start doing more classic deisgns.
Transformers are a special beast. They are the only toyline (franchise?) with a massive amount of third party figures and first party expensive toys. No other toyline can put out 8-10, $100-$400 figures per year and have them all sell out. Even Star Wars can't do that. GI Joe would never be able to. Remember TFs are reasonably big here but they're MASSIVE all over asia. There are conventions in Singapore and Malaysia that put botcon and TFcon to shame. |

Sideshow 12" is essentially what you would expect from a highly detailed "masterpiece" line
