I never owned any of the three mentioned here but I did get to play with all of them at friends/relatives' houses as a kid, and the Rolling Thunder probably would have been my favorite of the three.
That said, I'm going with a bit of a dark horse candidate that's not on the list: The ROCC I feel like the ROCC had the best mix of play features, durability, and manageable size for folks that may not have more than a spare closet or so for their collection. It tends to get overlooked since it was a DTC/TRU Exclusive in the bygone "nu-sculpt" days and was also associated with Sigma 6, which I know some fans consider anathema. Though in truth...pretty much all the "mobile headquarters" were patently ridiculous in their own ways, at least from a realism/tactical perspective, which kind of dulls their luster for me a bit as an adult. Great toys, though. |

The General is definitely impressive. What I like about the ROCC is also how big it is. It's about the same size of the Rolling Thunder.

I like the ROCC, but I'd probably leave it closed majority of the time. I prefer the armored semi look, maybe have it in a convoy with either hummv's, the APC or some armor. I wanted to do that with the bruder flatbed I got, but the damn thing dwarfs all the Joe stuff. I might try to get the true heroes armored flatbed at some point to do the same thing since it's more in scale.

Because I can’t select the USS Flagg as my answer for this poll, I’ll go with a different pick, and that is the 1987 Mobile Command Center. I don’t care for the way the comics portrayed the vehicle, but I do like the way the MCC looks in vehicle mode (like a moving building), and have always enjoyed the character Steam-Roller, (even though he make few appearances).

I’ll have to agree to disagree with you concerning the USS Flagg aircraft carrier and the Defiant: Space Vehicle Launch Complex not meeting the criteria to be included within this poll.

I definitely agree on the preference to have it closed, looks far more imposing, like nothing short of tactical nuke would hurt it. I honestly can't remember how it was depicted in the comics or steam roller either, I guess it's time to re-read them. |

Wow your comment just made me realise that the ROC Pit is actually an update to the MCC! It's under the sand and everything, remember?

The pit in the comics was located under the desert in Utah, underneath what looked like an abandoned base, which they would move frequently after cobra found the pits location. |
