Meaning the Joes and the SW stuff would all have universal neck balljoints.
I mean, I know the same thing can be accomplished with Sculpy and/or a Dremel if the holes aren't compatible, but this way the fearful-of-commitment like myself wouldn't actually have to damage an action figure to do it. I know that I would, and I already buy a lot of Star Wars stuff. |

There are definitely customs I'd like to do using a few SW parts, but I'm not interested in a complicated restructuring of the parts.
But honestly, why limit it to heads? I don't know why SW, Joe, Indiana Jones, Marvel Universe, Wolverine, etc don't use a compatible body construction style. It would give the different groups a TON more parts to use, and it would stop all the complaints about reused parts and repaints. Customizers would be in heaven, and Hasbro would get far more of our money without having to give us 87 repaints with Duke-arms. Clearly, I understand that someone at Hasbro has probably had that thought, and there's probably some logistics about design coordination and production overlap that prevent this from happening. But still, a guy can dream. |

Yeah, interchangeable heads wouldn't be enough to get me into buying SW figures. If they had all-Joe like construction I'd be hard pressed not to amass a small army of Stormies, though.

There could be some licensing issues with Lucas owned designs.

A few of my Joe customs are SW folks with minor mods to the head (Dr.Venom & HeartWrencher) I would go with yes, but only because I already buy ALL the SW folks, I would end up buying a few more to make swaps that are a little easier.

What would that have to do with anything?

I voted possibly and if may also add, as someone who has collected some Star Wars figures in recent years, I'd buy more of the damn Clone Wars animated figures right now if I could find the newer waves anywhere. It seems stores either aren't getting them at all, or putting them out one case at a time and selling very rapidly.
Annoying to say the least... |

I'd like that, cool idea. I went with the first option.

They are too expensive for me to do this... now... if they had GIJoe hips... I would be poor.

I went with the first option. I already use a couple of the clone trooper heads and Obi Wan heads now.
But i'd like to see some new and/or obscure characters, both human and alien. I don't need 50 of the same Luke Skywalker heads on different bodies, unless they make other the body parts more usuable. |
