I've had it for a while and I just pulled out of my closet about a week ago and noticed that it's motorized function wasn't working anymore. Every time i turned it on, it would move for a second then stop, so i figured the batteries must be dieing, but i got the same result with new batteries. So is the motor broken? Is there any way i can fix it? Or does it have to do with the batteries?

The easiest thing to check is opening the battery compartment to see if any of the metal contacts are corroded.
if they are: Sand paper and metal corrosion remover (ask at hardware store) should get electricity flowing again.

If the contacts are fine and you're going to open it up, I say there's room for an upgrade! MORE POWER!!! Make that tank jump some sand dunes!

Never EVER leave batteries in the case, they will corrode like nobodies business. May or may not be causing the problem there, but its just a bad idea in general, just take them out.

I am guessing battery terminals. If it were the Motors the problem wouldn't necessarily be symetrical.

Yeah, I just hate seeing that happen to people, all my old battery powered toys from when I was a kid are destroyed now because of my stupid self.

Funny, the same thing happened to me yesterday! Havent used the MOBAT since winter and I just got the same result. Connections didn't look corroded, but I'm at work now and can't check it. How did this workout for you, zartantheblue?

I have yet to put batteries on mine. I've been using the power of my imagination.
