I agree they should do a small line of classic 80's Joe's and Cobras as a second line. Hell even if the figures were 8 or 9 bucks each i'd buy them anytime over the Roc figures.

Unless it is a line meant just for people who have always collected Joe, Habro should just focus on characters that were in the Sunbow cartoon (and possibly the movie). That is where all the 'classic' characters come from. Casual fans will only know characters from that era. Sure some fans might love Big Ben or some later character but most people will have no idea who he was. Characters who have minimal recognition will result in lower sales. Hasbro knows this and sticks to "known by many" characters.
Don't believe me, name the characters that were introduced later than the movie that have persisted in GIJoe stories. Heavy Duty doesn't count since he's become the stand in for Roadblock. Hasbro might say otherwise everyone associates HD w/ RB. Characters pre-movie in later outfits (Destro, CC, SE, SE, etc.) also doesn't really count since they are still recognized as the character. |

I love the detailing of the movie look and I've also used RoC as a personal ground zero for reentry to the GIJoe toyline...so I think I'd rather see that continue, personally. Besides, the Battleforce 2000 stuff (and on) didn't appeal to me as a kid.

I'd be excited to see a 82 through 86 category. Those figures would appeal to collectors, and their children by filling the racks with recognizable figures. In addition I heard the other day, a "mother" tell her son at toys r us, "no son those are the crappy GI Joe, not like back in the day" which indicates a familiar sense of the original era.

All of them. The people who only want up to a specific year can just collect the ones they want, but I don't see a reason to vote against everyone getting what they want.

I'd like to see a few in particular remade such as Techno Viper, T.A.R.G.A.T, Crimson Guard Immortal, and Jynx.
