In the end, this is all just fantasy. I don't see anything but RoC being made anytime soon, so our "best" shot are either some female MARS troopers, or RoC Vipers. Both of which I'd be atleast interested in seeing, but I wouldn't likely buy.
Cobra has always seriously lacked cool women in their roster. I never cared for Zarana, not her fault, that whole "Zartan Family" thing ranks up there with Serpentor for me in the lame dept.. I was looooonnngggg gone before Munitia came around, but she didn't seem to impressive character-wise anyhow. Sure Baroness is the coolest chick in all of Joe-dom, but I'd love to see more of the Cobra women in action....I mean... ;) I think given how RoC Vipers really comprise all of Cobra's rank and file now (Which I HATE, btw) it'd be silly for there to be no female Vipers. We've seen plain old Vipers be plain clothed bodyguards, drivers, and undercover agents. Having female versions of them could only give you more options, and there for more of a threat.

On the what if thinking, they really could do a 5 pack blue cobra troopers - blonde, black skineed, redhead - recycling other female figure parts, and sell it as a something-con exclusive at least.
Seems the club is gonna do some females on their launches. Or a pack with female versions of cobra special groups - as a alley/tele/water/something/viper girl could be very good too. |

I'd love for the club to use the second 7-pack ME Baroness body with their o-ring Nightstalker heads for a ME Nightstalker. |

Those were excellent o-ring figures IMO. I wouldn't mind the Club revisiting that concept for one of the subscription figures. If I remember correctly the squad was the Nightstalkers and included a commander and 4-5 troopers.
I'd love for the club to use the second 7-pack ME Baroness body with their o-ring Nightstalker heads for a ME Nightstalker. on the topic of viability at retail, the Nightstalker molds were originally developed by Hasbro from what I understand, who then scrapped the project and allowed the Club to use them for exclusives. clearly they were developed at a time when RAH molds had a lot of figures released, so anyone (not you) questioning the viability of female Cobra Troopers at retail, especially as a multi-figure set, don't have to look any further than the obvious reason why they were never made by Hasbro -- retailers don't want them. sure, it is easy to say that retailers and Hasblow are stoopid and don't know what they are talking about since a couple of hundred adult collectors voice a preference for them, but clearly those who have to put their money where their mouth is to make or sell these products don't feel a couple of hundred potential consumers is enough to warrant a retail production expense for the concept. female Cobra Troopers are, and always will be, a preference of a very small minority. |

I'd buy the hell out of some female cobra troops, but I doubt they'd be very successful at general retail.
