As long as they eventually release Resolute Snake Eyes and Scarlett I don't mind if 25th ARAHs go into deep hibernation. We have to ration those Cobra Island 7 packs long enough to last us at least 2 years though. LOL.

Its not dead. Its not dead. Its not dead....(If I say it enough it will be true). I would be sad though. I guess I can just buy old used stuff on EvilBay.

After more than 25 years, ARAH has proved that its not, in no way what-so-ever, dead!

Not happy the 25th style is over and now ROC movie stuff is taking over, the one thing that worries me about them making 2 more movies is usually in a sequel series like this will be, there is a year or 2 in between movies and I really don't see Hasbro stopping the movie line figures in between the movies if they are selling. There could be movie line figures/vehicles for the next 5-6 years! What about more Resolute too?

I am curious to see what vintage figures they bring to the ROC theme, have you guys seen BBQ on ROC card and darker colors? I would also like to see maybe some more new characters like Sgt. Stone, and it will be hard to distinguish new characters if they are all wearing the same type of uniform, their uni's made them unique and made their character there is nothing separating them when they are all wearing the black body suits or the grey camo.
Also what happens with the packaging when the ROC theme is done, will the name on the package reflect the sequel? I agree, they should have kept the same package but, as much as I like it, if they wanted a change, just change the GI JOE using the new ROC sivler logo. |

Officially dead? Hasbro said so? damn. that sucks.
As for the packaging, I guess the old one takes more shelf space than the more compact new one. I'm not sure how the retailers work but maybe they are alotted a specific amount of shelf space and this way they can fit more units. |

Just let it go guys, it is gone for good. I have come to accept that. No matter how many posts we post about being sad about or how mad we are, its all gone.
It was fun while it lasted. The new kids on the block have their new vision and hopefully it will last longer the 83era till 89 era did for me and some of the rest of us. Those 6 years were so much fun and then add in the 2007-2008 25th redux figures that kinda sealed its fate witht he rushed plans behind ROC. I would prefer them to not do anything on the 30th anniversary since they will not do it justice, maybe just one more 7 pack of the resolute fiugres they never made or the last couple of vipers they left behind. We all have to stop this at some point /passes the torch... R.I.P ARAH.....

I was just thinking that it would be cool if the 50th anniversary figures were 3 3/4" hard light holographic projections with infinite articulation, accessories, perfect paint applications, and infinite customizing abilities. Look how far Joes have come in the last 25 years. Ah, the future holds many possibilities.

Sad? Nope. they're just toys. A little disappointed that I don't have Airtight, Repeater or Low-Light in their classic outfits, but the line was already pushing it for characters I wanted to see re-made in the 25th style. I would rather see Hasbro do what they're doing now (recreating characters in a new way with a modernized -read 'less 80's- style) than see a peg full of 25th style Eco-warriors and Star Brigade troops!
