Okay, I received my club newsletter today. Part of what is contained within, Wave 3 2008/Wave 7 pics. So I figured I give a quick overview of some details that aren't/weren't noticeable in the previous pics we've seen.
Here we go... Duke: - The flag can also mount into the figure stand for Duke. Also, not sure if this is a permanent change or what, but he has the Air Trooper's laser rifle along with the standard Joe one (like the one Snow Job and Hawk came with). Cobra Viper: - Not much to report here that we haven't seen. He does have a backpack that shows to be nicely detailed though. Spirit Iron-Knife: - Thought this was really cool, the extra ammo cartridges fit into his backpack. They sit side-by-side at the top. Very cool. Snake Eyes v4: - Just confirming that the knives on his chest ARE removable. Also in this pic the handles of the knives are painted black (just the handles, not the guards on them). The same with his sword. They don't show the "three-sectional staff" (as they put it) and the gun, so I can't say if they have changed too. HISS Driver: - Still looking bad@$$. Wild Bill: - Just confirming his hat DOES come off. Now this newsletter was all put together before the announcement of Bludd being pushed back, so he's in here. Major Bludd: - His helmet is removable! Also his rocket pistol has removable rockets and comes with extras that fit into his backpack. Now I know we weren't too thrilled with him being a Zartan repaint, but for some reason he does look better in this pic. I also noticed his right arm has a brown elbow instead of an all black arm like the previous pic(s) we saw. One more thing, he has the knife sheath (like Zartan does) on his boot in this pic too (it's absent in the other pics we saw). There is also Wave 4 comic pack pics, but they are the same ones we saw already and nothing looks different. Last edited by WildWeasel; 02-01-2008 at 04:11 PM.. |

I can't wait for the Viper. Should be a great wave altogether though!

could someone post a link to the pictures so that those of use without the newsletter can see the images your offering reviews for?

Also recieved my Newsletter today. I noticed in the pic of Duke he had a tan shirt on, that makes me think the pics are older than ones we've previously seen.
I think that means the Newsletter pic of Bludd is of an older version too, and that his final version will be a full length mechanical arm and not broken into two sections. |
