I prefer ROC simply becasue i was never into collecting Joes when i wa syounger. I watched the 80's cartoon and had 1 figure which was CC. I saw the 25th stuff and thought it was cool, but Resolute really pulled me back in. Now, with the movie and how well the figures have been done it's almost like star wars collecting for me again.

25th. No other way to go.
Roc is pretty cool figure wise, but alot of the headsculpts are ugly, much like the actors. Not only that but some of them have the horrible blue uniforms...ugh... I do have to say, the accessories are cool and the articulation is ace.

ROC.. I think 25th's are very fragile and I like the new designs of the ROC figures.

I chose ROC cuz I have all the characters from the ARAH days I wanted done 25th - the only ones left are the Ninja Force characters but they could do with a bit of re-imagining anyway! lol

As much as I like the ROC figures, mainly because of the accessories, articulation, uniformity, and even the art. I still have to go with the 25th Modern era line because there's over 200 figures between 1983-1991 that can still be made. I'm not saying every single one should be made, but there's a lot that we want to see come out. Hasbro's looking ways to incorporate classic characters into the new Movie Universe of G.I. Joe. That's all fine and dandy with me but I don't want to see Airtight, Lifeline or any other Joes in Reactive Armor, and have them tells us "there you go, you got what you wanted". God forbid we finally get Night Viper and it's just a repaint of a ROC Cobra Troop painted in dark green. Like I said the ROC figures are pretty cool, but I really hate the file cards and I can't stand any of the Cobra Troopers.(Yes, I like the Para Viper repaint, but that's it).

Tougher question than it appears!
25th is what I'd like, but there are only so many more characters left worth remaking. ROC all have the great construction and articulation that we got with resolute and the last several new molds in 25th. Ideally, I'd like to see some base RAH characters that were originally done during the learning stages redone, as some just don't measure up to the quality that has been established lately. But, then again, as much as I'd like to see an ultimate Duke, Firefly, and even Cobra Commander, it would be a kick in the pants buying them again. |
