After one day, Repeater is in the lead, with Frostbite in 2nd. Looking at the poll breakdown thread:
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...iscussion.html Repeater had the 5th largest margin of victory with 48% of the vote, and Frostbite had the largest margin of victory with over 60% of the vote. It's interesting to see Repeater in the lead!!!

I think match ups are key to victory. I think these polls would turn out different if they were matched differently

Naturally. The ideal way to do this for achieving a true top to bottom rank is to have one large list of all FSS figures that is sortable by the survey respondent. That way you're ranking every figure not just the top one and you're pitting them all equally against all the other FSS figures. From this we'd be able to determine the top figure, the bottom figure, every figure in between, and which series netted the highest (and lowest) overall points, and all from one poll question. I think Google Forms can do it, or Survey Monkey, and maybe Microsoft's Forms, but haven't checked.

I broke it down the way I did, because I can't rank 117 figures from 117 - 1. I did it by week of release because others have chosen a winner of each FSS (See Full Force Youtube Channel). I just wanted to change it up. With that said, this week should be the most difficult, given that most of these figures won their weekly poll by a large margin. I just know that I can vote on 6 figures a lot easier than 117. But most of all, I've had a blast posting these polls. I hope everyone else did too!!!

Yes and no. There are aspects of it that were achieved, but others that were impossible given the constraints of the polling mechanism. For example, providing respondents only a single vote against 9 figures tells us nothing about how each respondent feels about the other 8 figures they didn't cast their single vote for. They are unable to give us a proper ranking for all 9, and without that, we cannot accurately rank the other 8 figures of that week's list. With only a single vote per person, we learn very little about how all of the week's figures truly rank against one another, let alone against the full set of 117. The only valid piece of information we got was which figure people consider the Best figure from each set of 9, and then taking those final 9 winners and determining which of those 9 is the most popular, and again with these finalists.
Even the write-in votes for who they felt was the worst figure of each week were skewed by combining it with the lowest voted figures from the Best poll data, which is data that can only tell us which figure is the Best not the worst because people weren't casting the vote for the Worst. Only the written votes were directly selecting the Worst of the week. Quote:
I know you saw the poll breakdown and when you rank each result, FSS 3.0 was by far and away the best FSS.

I went with Repeater, I think all the figures are great but just looking at repeater among my collection puts a smile on my face and justifies the aftermarket price I paid haha.
Salvo would be next. I forgot about him from my childhood until I started collecting then, I couldn't get the damn DIC ending thingy and the theme song out of my head. He became one of my favorites again. Sucks that he can't stand up straight and his missile launcher sucks. Big Boa would be third for me, only because he doesn't have any combat equipment, would've been nice to include a vest and a machine gun or something. Cesspool I remember from the cartoon. One of the first FSS figures I got, never looked back since. Love his money briefcase since I never got money bags destro or the shattered glass twins. Frostbite is an awesome figure. I got him late and thought to myself he is pretty fckin sick, I shouldn't have slept on him. It doesnt snow where I'm from, but I said fck it and picked him up (which prompted buying sub-zero, icerberg, snowjob, and blizzard) And Last for me is Keel Haul. I will never have a USS Flagg, but I saw some Instagram posts where they made him look like a surly admiral who needs the occasional whiskey in his coffee and decided yea lets fckin do it. Overall, I'm sad that I didn't get in the game earlier but I'm glad I did. |

I had fun watching the polls. It solidified my belief that I have almost nothing in common with the hardcore collectors though. You guys like some damned ugly figures!
