So I guess you never picked up the 25th anniversary Armadillo? Never picked up the 25th anniversary Torpedo?
Not looking forward to the 2 packs with the Tunnel Rat/Monkeywrench and Shockwave/Night Creeper? Are you sure you're not letting the name on the package (RoC) cloud your vision? There are some solid figures in the line, and some not so solid (just like the 25th/ME line). I had no desire for the Paris Pursuit Snake-Eyes, then saw it in the store, just picked it up today. I totally agree with you. There are some solid figures. I also like the tru exclusive firefly and barbecue. Might I add there are also some great vehicles from the movie line

Funny, I'm an adult collector and "child of the 80's" and I don't feel like Hasbro's taken a darn thing from me. I also happen to think these new movie figures are pretty awesome in many cases.

According to who?
According to us? It's easy for collectors who have no say in the business behind it all to sit here and say "they could do this" and "they should do that." It's another thing entirely if the retailers who are your direct customers want movie toys and all movie toys (because there's a movie coming out) and you try to feed them something else. We (The buying public) are indirect customers for Hasbro. We buy from the retailers, not from Hasbro directly. It's also easy for us to sit here and say Hasbro should change their long-standing, proven business models just because we G.I. Joe fans think so. Fortunately for Hasbro's profit margin and relationship with the retailers, the real world doesn't work that way. Why do so many collectors completely ignore the role retailers play in the toy market? >.< I was trying to point out that hasbro could have created a win/win situation (now agreed, you can never make everybody happy). Instead they chose to make a halfassed wave 1, where the most simularity you will find is the actual name of the figure. Granted, they do seem to have improved with the later waves. So when you are done being on your high horse, let me borrow it so I can ride into town for some groceries. Thanks !

even haters are admitting that they will get the figures and vehicles that Hasbro is including in this line that could have just as easily been 25th. Are people really turning their back on Monkeywrench because of the card design? Will they buy a resolute duke but not a Gung-ho that looks suspiciously like the guy by the same name in resolute because they changed the art and title? Would you turn your back on a new Skystriker (that's a hypothetical) if it had a different packaging?
