Title says it all really...
With the mega tricked pretty package these things got,I've been asking myself were these meant for MOC collectors? Do think the price increase is really due to the better package? For me who rips open everything this sucks..I just want the figures. Good thing I only want five of them... |

they are for everyone since the figures have a bit more detail and a few new accessories but i would say that because of the extra detailed packaging they would be ideal for moc collectors.

Without a doubt this is a collector's line. The "added detail" to the figures is bogus, as the figures already exist in their HOH forms (for the most part) in other lines (5-packs, other versions, etc..). The HOH is just added accessories.
Some of 'em have some differences (Firefly being the most notable) but aside from that it's definately a collector's line. Now, that doesn't mean just MOC (although I do believe that's the main intention). They can be displayed, and the gold stands is evidence of that. But this isn't a "play" line.

More of a collectors line, I believe.

Yeah, they're for both. Though at the moment I don't plan on opening and display them all, but Firefly and the B.A.T.s is definitly openers. I really don't understand the bitching about the prices on theses. Some retailors have singles almost at $8.00 a piece and you know when the Movieline comes out the price will most likely go up again.

It's a collector's line. It's for the MOC boys and girls.

I think it is a marketing ploy to get people to buy two of each. One to open for the new accessories, and one to keep MOC for the fancy packaging.

IMO HOH is definitely for MOC collecting. Except for Firefly I think you can get similar versions of every character from the new CPs or 5 packs or 7 packs.
