When I was a junior in HS, 1996, I sold all of my Joe stuff to a friend of mine. I got back in when I saw the JVC Snake Eyes / Storm Shadow 2-pack. It spiraled from there to where I have thousands of joes from all eras and decent sized modern collections of transformers, MOTU, Marvel, DC, and TMNT. I've even got a small collection of SW sith and bounty hunters. In the process, I've collected then went on to sell 100+ 3 3/4 marvel figures, a dozen or so 12" Marvel a Legend Icons, and am now looking to sell my large basketball card collection. For me, the key was keeping enough to avoid seller's remorse. Like for my basketball cards, I'm a big Detroit Pistons fan. So I'm keeping all of my Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Ben Wallace, and Chauncey Billups cards. I might even add to what I have of those players. But in keeping that small chunk, I know I won't look back and miss having a dozen large boxes of cards taking up space in our spare BR closet. If I were to ever sell my joes, I'd do the same, I'd keep at least a dozen or so that I know I would regret selling.
