Makes no sense. lol!
I couldn't figure it out considering he has a big face plate covering everything. What....does he pull them down over his visor, and wear them on the outside? While I'm on this subject...Are there any other WTFs that you've noticed about any characters that don't make sense. I know the obvious WTFs, such as some characters being shirtless. (Mindbender/Quick-kick) or Silly costumes such as Big Lob, and Chuckles. But I'm talking about unnecessary use of additional equipment, such as goggles on the Viper's helmet. OH! Here's one....Why does Mutt come with a gas mask? Makes no sense. Any others that you guys have noticed? As far as the Viper goggles, I always assumed they had those just in case. For example, I can't imagine they'd want to wear the helmet all the time, the goggles just give them an option for another type of eye protection.

Easy explanation. During battle they pull the goggles over their faceplate. Debris and muck that flies from explosions would quickly block your visibility. So, to keep fighting you remove the goggles and have instant clarity again. Horse jockeys do the same thing when riding, they carry multiple sets of goggles so they can keep on trucking.

I always felt that Muskrat's boogie board would be used to he could float across the deeper parts of the swamp without becoming completely submerged. He'd lay on it (despite the foot peg), not stand on it like it's a surf board (like the artwork).

you guys need a military gear expert here so let me help out:
The Viper's goggles are not meant to replace the visor (which is open at the bottom though this is not represented on the figure). The goggles do in fact slide down over the visor. They are specially designed so that when a Viper charges into a room after lobbing in a flashbang, he will not be disoriented by the flash. They limit visibility a bit though, so they are not worn at all times. Why does Baroness dress like she does? Simple- would YOU shoot anyone that looks that good? No, and neither would the Joes. Why the cowl for Cobra Commander? He buys them at Victoria's Secret. Say no more. Here's my question- why does every Cobra Soldier have a different uniform? Think what a logistic nightmare that must be! GAH! Oh and one more... Why the hell don't any of the Joes carry friggin magazine pouches? Where is their ammo??? |

Cobra Para viper....WTF. Why the extra goggles, on top of the mask? That being said, I have no idea why the garden-variety Viper wears goggles outside of his faceplate (it would make more sense for him to wear tinted goggles inside the protective faceplate). |
