I live. In the coachella valley area. I know we'll about the prices and worth in most toys especially marvel and gi joe. I definetly will be happy to help you to benefit ur family and legacy your husband left behind. Goodluck. Pm for anymore details from me. Not here to make money or take advantage. Just seeing a collection is amazing. I'll work with you if we come up with a deal. Thanks

Sorry for your loss. The good news being in SoCal is there are likely a handful of collectors in driving distance of your location. Definitely get a couple opinions and go from there.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Whereabouts in California are you?
I am in Hidden Valley Lake, a couple hours from Sacramento. I might be able to help out in some capacity if you're anywhere halfway close. |

I have someone who can work with you on this entire thing. He’s close by where you live. I personally messaged you. Let me know if you got it. So so sorry about all of this.

Thank you all for your very thoughtful replies and the several private messages I have received. I have been given several options to consider and research. I have to admit, when I posted I wasn't sure whether I'd even get a response. I have been overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of you all and truly appreciate the advice.

I would also recomend finding someone local to help you sell it. I've done a few smaller collections for people and this is my go to price structure:
Sell everything individually on eBay. Fees and shipping will average about 25% of the sales cost (obvs including the shipping cost here, single figures I usually ship "free"), then I keep 25%, and the owner gets 50%. Considering how much time it takes to sell/list all the items to get the most money, everyone I've worked with thinks this is pretty fair. Also: you'd be surprised how much stuff is actually really valuable once you part it out. I'd definately say to reach out to someone local, if the one person above in your area doesn't work out, try looking on Facebook for "california joe collectors" or "my city toy collectors" and someone will be able to point you in the right direction |

i'm sorry about your loss. your husband had a nice collection and display.
i'd start selling a few things a week on ebay to keep it manageable, things that you know what they are. take photos of all angles of the box. search ended listings to see how much they went for, what might be the best time for listings to end, and you can put a reasonable Buy it now price, or just list it and let it run. there are ebay guides about terms like MISB (Mint in sealed box), etc..., to help you with making listings and descriptions. - |

Sorry for your loss.
I would recommend as have others, looking at like items on Ebay and selling a few at a time. You could probably sell some of the GI Joe stuff here, but it would be a lot of work. |
