The difference between ROC & 25th is alot, yes same design roughly figure wise but the characters are alot different, I have to say Desert Ambush Duke is awesome, but Cobra Commander is shocking, looks nothing like ANY Cobra Commander ever in history.

T... RoC isn't the 25th anny, However... You state you're a 28 year long fan of the line and series.... Ok so am I and so are a lot of the rest of us. Now.. that said.... I can name about ooh 18 figures off the top of my head from the early series which Had Spring loaded devices. Shipwreck was one of them, Keel Haul was another... Storm Shadow, Snake eyes... Sgt. Slaughter, even gung Ho had missle or device launchers... Heck I remember I had a Destro which had a ''pizza thrower'' I remember a Leatherneck( corrected by another member, TY!! Flint4107)who had pants that resembled patterns of a Giraffe. Anyway my point to you is this... Hasbro gave a crap enough to even give back to adults who were kids back then with the 25th aniv. Now... granted 25 years lasted how long? 2 years after? The line was for the anniversary... shouldn't it be 27th anni now or so 28? You said it yourself 28 years.. So... look at RoC as yet another evolution in the line. Heck repack, repaint... Been going on for years not recent. Mole vehical Driver... c'mon I'd know Croc Master anywhere repainted, but he's been turned into a terra-viper now. Go along to get along, or you'll end up alone in the fight. Enjoy what we have, we might not have had anything. YO JOE! Last edited by Shipwreck; 07-07-2009 at 09:22 AM.. |

I havn't purchaced any of the figures yet because I'm too poor, you know I need to pay for food gas and electric and what not. But so Far from what I've seen, the sculpts seem pretty sound, Baroness's hip/leg joints seems a little forced but other than that, I wouldn't mind colecting them.
One complaint that I do agree with strongly though is the spring loaded weapons. BLEAH! That's a sign of a lack in confidence in the product to throw in some sort of gimic that I think turns off the fans. They're bulky, they're akward, they don't look to scale and they're just plain silly and worse yet, the figures can't hold them in a pose that looks remotey good. The '88 version of Heavy Duty is the only one I've seen where they'e pulled it off convincingly. Beyond that, they don't look too bad to me. Hasbro, have confidence in Joe and loose the darn spring loaded gimics. Kids still have imaginations, let them use them, and keep the colecters happy too.

That stink-burger of a figure was Leatherneck. Good figure, bad paint scheme. <puke>

Wow $25 for a Blow Torch in Iceland?. I'd love to know how much ROC is and what availability is from our European tankers.
