When I bought this in late 2008, it was the first GI Joe product I purchased since 1986. What a way to get back into Joe!!!

I loved this set. I live in Canada and had to buy it and have it shipped loose. I really wish I had the box. I modified the Mobat so Steeler sits lower in the Mobat.

I picked up the MOBAT at a garage sale for a few bucks. Funny cuz it's probably the least interesting thing in the set.

Awesome set. Bought two of these at regular price to have one sealed and one to open. I remember my target was loaded with these sets on the top shelf of the toy aisle. They went on clearance for under 20 bucks so I bought four more to army build the mobats and red hiss tanks. Ah man the 25th line was such a good time. That set displays so nicely in the box. The only thing that sucks is they leave the helmets bagged in the box with the rest of the accessories so cobra commander looks weird flying the cobra flight pod without his helmet.

Also, is there a good place for documentation on how to disassemble and troubleshoot the motor on/off switch mechanism? Mine never switched on/off smoothly, but now it doesn't even seem to click into the proper positions much of the time.

So, I just dug out my CAT II (from the New Sculpt era), and modern figures don't fit into the turret well. It's a little too shallow and a little too narrow. I was curious if the 25th MOBAT was retooled to give more space in the turret.

Its a great set and I wish I had known about it back then.
Rebel base is great. When I went to UNC Charlotte 15 years ago I would go there all the time. They helped me fill out my O ring collection. Glad they are still going strong. |

It is a cool set. I do wish they re-tooled the Mobat though (like they did with the Skyhawk). My only gripe with it is the figure sticks out of the turret (looks even worse with the new mold figures).
