Which is probably exactly why we WONT get an 80's throwback GIJoe movie. Hasbro does not have a good track record of being 'smart' about these things.

I'd rather have new versions of things I love instead of relying on the classics to drift into the future...

Just looking at cancelled Joe product makes you realize that some of the coolest looking stuff never made it to shelves

I think as long as there are people who love A Real American Hero, it will last. I know many collectors who are in their 60s and 70s who still collect things from their childhood( 1950s and 1960s ). I never thought I would still be into Joes in my 40s; but I am. Although, I’ll admit with lack of product I’m not as invested as I used to be. I still think we need a line of 6” G.I. Joe Legends to reinvigorate interest in Joe. And it would capture the interest of Marvel Legends and Star Wars The Black Series collectors as well. Many hate this idea, but honestly as much as I love 3 3/4” joes, there’s not much left they can do.

Given that 50th Destro is past 4inches, I think Dwayne Johnson's body is too, I don't think we're really that far off 6 inches as things stand now. :/
True 3 3/4" hasn't been produced for Joe in years. |

I'd estimate we're approaching the peak but there's at least a good ten or more years left to run. Those of us who were 80s kids are only around age 40 now, so even using the 18-49 demographic category, we've got nearly a decade of prime consumerism left in us, not to mention the younger kids who were more attached to the '90s Joes initially and may give this hobby another few years of demand beyond that. And that's just for the original ARAH figures. There are probably some newer fans and collectors thanks to the 25th line that started in 2007 and the other modern era series that followed it up through to the present.

I took some of my 80s/90s Joes and lined em up with my modern Joes. Joe hit a growth spurt somewhere...

I think that GI Joe should have both a 6inch and 3.75 inch line like Star Wars and Marvel. That way people can have affordable vehicles and figures at a scale that fits in with their older Joes, as well as start a 6inch line for those who want more detail/articulation.
