i like going to toy stores or the toy section of a store. i like to browse for things on sale i might never have considered for customs use. i like seeing the things in hand to judge scale. and its just plain fun walking around looking and drooling. tru was my go to, walmart and target were my back ups. mostly because i hate fighting the zombie hoards that roam those places, plus their toys section sucks and normally have everything tru had anyway.
having said that what are your go to online stores for toy buying? i have like 2 go to sites to buy. i get tired of searching and searching for that "deal" if my go to's dont have it i give up and wait. i also tend to stay away from amazon, their search engine i dont like. so i was wondering where does everyone go to for their online toy purchase's so i can check out some new options and book mark them. thanks |

I traditionally go to BBTS for online toy purchases, but I'm not adverse to hitting eBay or Amazon if they have the better deal. Sometimes however, if I'm desperate, I hit Entertainment Earth.
And I'm going to miss TRU. |

The closet TRU to me closed a couple years ago so it’s as if the store had already died. Walmart and Target are all that’s left.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens at retail, in the near future. TRU’s demise will be a good thing for GameStop! It’ll also create a vacuum for someone else to rise! I have a feeling, stores like Think Geek, Hot Topic & Box Lunch will pickup the Action Figure market.
Since 2007, the 25th Anniversary line, Walmart, Target & TRU were the only places I went for Joes. 2 stopped carrying them and one is dead. The only other places are local vintage toy shops. |

Just look at the sponsors on this site. That's pretty much all that is left for online sales.

I mostly do eBay. Occasionally BBTS, SmallJoes.com, or Big Boy Collectibles. I have never bought anything from Guruplanet because their prices are ridiculous. But as 46 Zone pointed out, hey all advertise on this site. What you see here is basically all there is.

I honestly haven’t bought anything from there since the 50th line. No big loss but it still sucks to see another part of my childhood vanish.

Parts Unknown still has TRU, so I can still pick up True Heroes (although I am veering into BTR/Lego/GUDI territory for vehicles in my mind). No Joes to be found however.

Unfortunately, the true heroes stuff is still only 10% off. It was like 33% off a week before the clearance started. That stuff is going to sit for awhile, unless they start making cuts.
