Which is sad because they own GI Joe and they license Star Wars, Marvel, and Power Rangers which means they have to share profits. I would guess pushing your own brands would make more sense.

We'd be better off with another party doing a KS for a similar sized aircraft carrier. No way we would get 5000 people to fund this through HasLab. Hell, 1000 would be difficult to achieve even at $500 a pop.

I voted $500 or less, but realistically, I can barely afford con sets & FSS sets. If they did 3 payments, like the FSS, I’d jump on board. But $500+, for a toy, is difficult when adult obligations are considered.

I voted $750, could I go higher; sure but it is tough to justify spending that much for a toy. I do not have a Flagg, but even I do not want a straight remake. I would rather have the Resolute one. In terms of what item should Haslab produce; I agree 100% that it should be something never produced before. I would love a Coyote, a C-130, the Cobra Chopper etc.

To be honest I probably wouldn’t buy a Flagg unless it was substantially newer. Perhaps a redesigned superstructure with an additional level and maybe even a hangar below the flight deck. Otherwise it’s a lot of money for something we already have.

I couldn’t see myself not going for a new Flagg. I couldn’t resist...

I think we'd be more likely to see a Whale, updated like the Eaglehawk, before we see a Flagg. I think DePriest even mentioned at one point in time the idea of a new Whale.
I'd love to see a new Whale, slightly larger, less fragile. Have an interior that has bunks, weapons locker.

I don't see GI Joe having the HasLab treatment anytime soon. Unless thousands of teens and young adults join the fandom and the next film is a success, GI Joe is the last of Hasbro's concerns. They're more focused on squeezing as much out of Transformers as they can get.
I'm only going to end up reiterating everyone else. Even if we get the opportunity to fund a HasLab-created Joe product, it would only be a set of figures or smaller vehicle (Coyote). Most of us collectors can't afford anything as high as $500.00. It would be economical suicide for Hasbro. |
